"Gangs used to settle fights with fists, not guns. And there is more child abuse and sex and rape and murder than there ever has been. Every time I watch Fox news, they're showing pictures of these young girls who have been kidnapped and raped. Years ago, you never heard of that."

- Yer old pal Jerky supposes he shouldn't be too surprised that a petulant, self-pitying, self-righteous honky who once slaughtered an entire family would also be an avid watcher and fan of FOX News. How much you wanna bet he doesn't much care for that Obama feller, neither?

  1. Ahh, the old "the good old days were better - you young punks have no idea" routine. I haven't checked the stats on violent crimes lately, but I know they've been dropping in most states for at least 15 years and far lower than they were in the 80s.

The irony of Fox News is that the only thing conservative about it is the content of the messages. If you tried to get them to apply biblical principles to their practice of content production (I stop short of calling it journalism), they'd turn around and rile up a bunch of right-wing first amendment groups. The very nature of Fox News isn't only hypocrisy, it's liberalism at its finest -- freedom of press, etc.; it just happens to have content that resonates with an audience, which they can sell to advertisers.
